Tweet.edu: List of Education Foundations, Associations, and Thinktanks on Twitter (updated)
Below is a list of education foundations, thinktanks and associations on twitter. Initially, I planned to focus on foundations, but as the lines are blurry between organizations that fund, advocate, or operate innovative projects, the scope grew as I went on.
Update (9/01/09): I added about 20 new groups, based on additional searching and recommendations — new groups are marked with *.
**If you’re interested in education reporters on twitter, check out this post on Meranda Writes.
The list is broad, coming from a search of more than 300 potential organizations, but it is by no means comprehensive — yet.I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations of groups and organizations to add; you can leave them in the comments, or send them to me on twitter (jarsenault).

Also, let me know if you have ideas/requests for new directions for this list. I intend to continue updating, but also to add sub-lists for some of the specific foundations/programs not included here (e.g., I didn’t include the many foundations specifically for music education, health education, or environmental education, and I also plan to do another version for international/global foundations and NGO’s).
Any requests or suggestions?
