A delicious plate of drunken noodles at Bangkok 54 put me down for the count last.

If there’s such a thing as carb-drunk, that’s what I was. Like sugar-shock, but more savory!

I had a delicious steak-and-cheese sandwich (with tots) at Ray’s [to the Third] in Arlington last night.
It is most definitely not a Philly cheesesteak—nor, according to owner Michael Landrum, is it supposed to be—but it is most definitely scrumptious!

Cookies & Confections, a tasty cap to last night’s dinner at Tallula.  The homemade Snickers bar was particularly delightful.

A delicious dinner entree at Tallula in Arlington last night: spinach and ricotta gnudi, Yukon golds, short ribs, and crispy mustard greens.

We met up with friends to check out Boccato Gelato in Courthouse/Clarendon last night.  I’m still a fan of Dolcezza first (partly out of loyalty to their location a few blocks from home, and partly because of their commitment to local ingredients) but I was definitely impressed by Boccato’s offerings, some of the richest gelato I’ve had in the DC area…
We passed on the Corona Lime Sour, but my sugar cone with scoops of pistacchio and “very dark chocolate sorbet” hit the spot on a hot, humid night.

Grease Fire Breaks Out At Ireland’s Four Courts: DCist

It really hasn’t been a good week for area restaurants when it comes to suffering serious damage. First, the group of restaurants inside Washington Harbour probably won’t be able to open for the Easter holiday weekend because “whoever was supposed to raise the flood panels, which are operated by hydraulics, did not do it correctly.” And today, a “significant” grease fire broke out at the Ireland’s Four Courts at 2051 Wilson Boulevard in Courthouse.

Di and Sam — hopefully they’re back up and running soon!
