I rode behind this guy for about a mile on yesterday’s commute home. He was definitely rocking a style — sort of a “yachtsman on two wheels” thing, with his styled but flowing hair, his Oxford shirt untucked, just like so, and his shorts and brown knee socks combination.
It wouldn’t be my favorite look for bike commuting, but he certainly owned it.
A gorgeous morning to get up early and ride down to the Tidal Basin and along the Potomac for the cherry blossoms.

At the end of another successful Mustaches for Kids DC campaign, yesterday the time arrived to part ways with this year’s bristles.

After four weeks of mustache growing and fundraising, the 2012 Mustaches for Kids DC campaign came to a close on Friday night.
In a first-time ever occurrence, there was a tie for the Most Fundraisingest Stache award, between my archival, Spanky, and I, each raising over $11,000 for Children’s National Medical Center. (Spanky took home the fundraising trophy whole I wound up with the trophy for DC’s Sweetest Stache).
Overall the group raised more than $30K for the kids. Thanks again to all who helped out, donated, or spread the word!!
Among other highlights, thanksgiving weekend featured a sibling/cousin trip to Scampi to hear my brother Andre play, along with some panorama experimenting in PhotoSynth.
My thoughts on education, communication, social media, social justice, effective policy and governance... scattered into large amounts of photography, cooking, music and sports.
