A great shot of Liz and me at Susie and Maigari’s wedding in Guadalajara
I made the Washington Post DC Sports Bog, for the first time since the pithy comments in the old Atlantic 11 poll. Woohoo! And thanks to Liz for spotting me on the Bog.
Look for me and my cousin Alexandra in the foreground. Along with the banners, it’s probably one of the only good things to come out of last night’s game.
On a related note, Liz spotted me in the photo drinking a beer, and my friend Bea spotted me from the 400 level by the way I was drinking a beer. Should I be worried. (Oddly, it was the only beer I had all game).

At the end of another successful Mustaches for Kids DC campaign, yesterday the time arrived to part ways with this year’s bristles.
We’ll be growing again next fall, so if you know any gents who might be interested in joining us, shoot an email to mustaches4kids@gmail.com and let us know.
And thanks again to all who contributed or otherwise supported our efforts!!
My Mustache for Kids is thrilled with the progress, but with 2 days left, there’s more money to raise!
More than 180 of you have pitched in almost $8,000 to support the Kids Care Fund at Children’s National Medical Center, which, along with conducting important research and offering excellent care, provide $60 million a year in uncompensated care to needy children and families.
I’m hoping to get 48 more donations (any amount, as small as $5, helps) in the final 48 hours before 6:00 pm EST tomorrow, as the campaign closes with the Stache Bash at Penn Social (and if you’re 21+ in the DC area, you’re invited).
If you’re up for helping out, could you:
Thanks all, and remember, it’s for the Kids!
My Mustache for Kids is getting into the holiday spirit, having raised more than $6,100 for the Kids Care Fund at Children’s National Medical Center.
The “Fundraising-est Stache” trophy is within reach by Friday, but my fundraising arch-nemesis, Spanky, has been on a tear, so I’m asking for your help… can you pitch in $5, $10, $20 or more for this great cause, or for my not-so-bad mustache? And can you spread the word?
Today, my nascent mustache for kids emerged from its stubble cocoon, and at 5 days old, it has entered its French teenager phase (also known as the dirt stache).
While it may not seem strong, its bristles are powerful, having raised almost $4,000 so far for The Kids Care Fund at CNMC. I hope you’ll help my mustache grow up bigger and stronger by pitching in at my fundraising page: http://bit.ly/jacquesmustache2012
Today is Shaving Day, the official kickoff of this year’s Mustaches for Kids DC growing season, where a group of hearty gentlemen grow sweet staches to raise money for the kids care fund at Children’s National Medical Center.
My newly-bare face is ready to be graced by this year’s mustache, and I have set a pretty audacious fundraising goal of $8,000 to raise. That said, in less than a day’s growth, I’ve already made it past the $2,000 mark, thanks to the extreme generosity of some amazing friends and family.
Can you spare a few bucks to push me toward my goal? My fundraising page is http://bit.ly/jacquesmustache2012.
And if you’re in the DC area, check us out this evening at Iron Horse Tap Room from 6:00 on. We’re looking for growers and supporters!
This time 15 years ago, I was an 18-year old, about to embark on my journey as a Georgetown Hoya. Little did I know how long that journey would last!
And thanks to JanMichaelDC for bringing up this photo, from the freshman facebook… for the youngsters out there, this is what we relied on before Zuckerberg came along.
After a good 3-month run, it was time to say goodbye to the beard.
Skin is so smooth, but my chin feels naked, and I’m reminded of how big my nose is.
