PEEP Dioramas to be shown this month at Artisphere in Rosslyn.
This is great news, as I was wondering what would happen to the annual display with Artomatic postponed until the fall.

Artisphere has partnered with Artomatic to bring highlights from the 5th Annual Washington Post PEEPS® Diorama Contest to Artisphere from Saturday, May 7 through Tuesday, May 31. See the First Place Winner—“Chilean CoPeepapo Mine Rescue” and finalists such as Lady Gaga’s Grammy-Awards entrance! The 2011 diorama contest drew more than 900 entries from local and regional artists and PEEPS® lovers. The exhibition will feature over 20 entries and can be viewed anytime during Artisphere’s regular hours. To see the slideshow of contest finalists, visit The Washington Post Web site. “Peepcake Wars” — another solid Peep diorama in this year’s contest, featuring:
a) A reality TV show, or
b) Another day on the sidewalks of Georgetown

The Mad Peeps of Sterling Coopeep, one last shot from the Washington Post’s annual Peep Diorama contest, because really, who doesn’t like a good peeps show?
The diorama reenacts one of the great scenes from last season of Mad Men.  The artist, Jeana Harrington, gets so many great details in, even down to the whacked-out art tastes of Bert Cooper (or in this case, Bert Coopeep).

Goodnight, Peep.  One of the finalists in this year’s Washington Post Peeps diarama contest.
Check out many of the other entries here, and keep an eye out for this year’s Artomatic, which has hosted many of the top dioramas in the last few years, and likely will again.
