The goodfellas pizza at Graffiato. A great way to get back into the workweek.

From aPizza to Edan MacQuaid to Jumbo Slice, it’s all here.
Have you tried the one on K Street? Our office used them for a pizza party once. Not too bad for a ‘quick food pizza.’
No, I haven’t been to the K Street location yet. Sounds good — I haven’t heard much about their pizza quality, but a lot of people have been raving about their wings.
For those of you DC folks who live or work in the Penn Quarter area, or frequent the Verizon Center, there’s one more dining option in the neighborhood, as Fuel Pizza In Penn Quarter Opens Today (600 F St NW) according to Penn Quarter Living.
We had a couple of pretty tasty pizzas—the white pizza (pictured) and the bacon pizza (devoured)—at Pizzaiolo Cafe on Fern, off Quaker Lane yesterday.
They were an excellent way to follow up the beer tasting at Port City earlier in the afternoon, and Pizzaiolo has a fairly nice beer selection themselves!
The Noid is back — at least for a week or two, in a special Domino’s promotion.

A delicious lunch at Graffiato this afternoon, with the pictured broccoli and smoked mozzarella pizza, which I loved, though I’m not usually a big smoked mozzarella fan—I think the fact that they stretch (and probably smoke) the mozzarella in house may help with the special smoky flavor they got. We also had a classic (melted tomato, garlic and oregano) pizza, and sweet corn agnolotti, which was so delicious it disappeared before the camera came out.
Seems like chef Mike Isabella has been reacting to the early reviews, too, because our server was as friendly as the last visit, but much less pushy in trying to upsell us.

blah morning. how was comet ping pong? i’m going there thursday!
Comet was great — we each had an app (the roasted cauliflower is a nice seasonal touch) and a pizza:
I was excited, too, that they have the new DC Brau Public Ale, but they were out of stock. Should be resupplied today, though.
It was also a perfect night for eating outside, nice breeze and high-60’s. (we were well out of there by the time the rains came).
Spicy Roasted Kale Pizza | The Kitchen Sink
Seems like a great way to take advantage of the seasonal greens.
For when there’s time. (And lots of kale.)
Last night’s dinner, part #2: a pair o’ pizzas: standard margherita on the left, and a pancetta-potato-fontina-rosemary delight on the right!
We fried up the bacon and parboiled the potatoes before topping the pizza, but everything else baked in the oven.
