Attention DC runners, joggers and walkers! Mustaches for Kids DC is looking for team members for the first Race for Every Child 5K on October 5th.
Many of you have supported my efforts in the past, raising money through a series of mustaches to support the Kids Care Fund at Children’s National Medical Center, and i am so grateful for your generosity.
This year, we’re starting the growing season a month earlier — on October 9th—but even before that, we’re organizing a team to run in the 5K.
If you can spare a few bucks (or if you’re local, the use of your feet), please:
- Join our team, as a runner, walker, or virtual runner, and help us raise money for this great cause. We won’t have real mustaches at the race, but mustache tee shirts, stick-on staches, and even mustache tattoos are strongly encouraged; OR
- Support my fundraising with a donation of $5, $10, or more. Children’s National Medical Center provides high quality treatment to kids around the DC region, and provides $50 million a year in uncompensated care for families that can’t afford to pay. I’m hoping to raise $1,000 for the Race, to jumpstart my Mustaches for Kids efforts this year, and I would appreciate any amount you can share.
Spread the word — if you are, or you know folks in DC who might be interested in helping this fun, and meaningful effort, please reblog this post, “like” “our Facebook page, and follow us on Twitter!
